Unification - Chapter 1 [APH Prussia]
-1863-
The winter air was crisp and cold, but Prussia felt warmth in his chest that made him quite immune to the frigid weather. He would never tire of the sight of Berlin on the horizon when he was coming home.
For so long, the reason he would be riding into his capital was that he was returning from war. But now, in the relative peace that had followed in the decade since the collapse of the so called “Spring of the Peoples”, there had been little reason for him to ride out in full array. Nor was he in a position where anyone would dare to cross him without risking a response from more than one Great Power. For the first time i

Gilbert watched the man before him pace the room in rapture. The king's left hand was gripped tight around his cane, his eyes glued on a map of Central Europe and letters from spies detailing intelligence from various foreign courts. He cursed under his breath. "She's still fucking upset about Silesia." He grumbled.
Gilbert sat up straight. A wicked grin cut across his face. "Don't you worry about a thing, Fritz! If we were able to kick her ass last time then we'll be able to do it again! You're the best military strategist they've seen! The Austrians must be clutching their pearls knowing they'll be facing off against Prussia

After a long and peaceful sleep, contrasting the one from the previous night, you woke up feeling refreshed and energised. You decided to get dressed and have some cereal before school today, opting to pack off-brand cola for break. After stuffing a make-shift lunch into your backpack and wolfing down your breakfast, you left home for school. With earbuds blasting “Underdog”, you wandered to school lost in thought. You didn’t notice the white-haired boy running up behind you until-
“HEY! I was listening to that!”

The von Katte Affair
Potsdam, 1730
Two sets of black toed boots clipped through the halls of the plainly decorated palace. The shorter of the two men talked animatedly about the state of the military. The taller one nodded along, only half paying attention since he'd heard this speech yesterday.
They were making their way towards the garden to watch one of the regiments run through its drills when a courtier stopped them. "Your majesty! Your majesty! I bring grave news from the border!" He skidded to a halt before the two men, almost crashing into the albino.
Frederick William assessed the courtier with annoyance. "What is it? Out with it, I don't have all day
He was always obnoxious, arrogant, way too prideful and stubborn. He was a prince. He was my prince. I should've expected as much and yet, he still found different ways to surprise me. Like that bullshit with von Katte, but that's later. We gotta get to the early stuff.
He pissed me off. God, I couldn't stand him for the longest time. His vader was my boss so that had something to do with it, for sure. Frederick William only wanted compliance. I was the first person he got it so completely from, never questioned what he demanded of me. Vader, Germania, he died when I was pretty young. I was always eager to please my kings, wanting them to se
The truth of the matter was that Gilbert Beilschmidt was dying.
The strange thing was, this no longer terrified him. He'd had years to come to terms with his newfound mortality. He used to fear death, but now, the thought of it was comforting like an old friend. There was no point in fighting against it or trying to run. The Grim Reaper got us all in the end. Not even his weird quasi-nation status had exempted him like West and Gilbert had previously believed.
If Prussia was being honest, he thought it sucked. Finding that out had sent him into a rage. Glasses were shattered, items were thrown across the room. Material objects could be dest

Prussia took a familiar route to the all too familiar place, his feet carrying him there without any conscious thought. He knew how conspicuous he looked clad in his black dress uniform, walking in this small town with a white chrysanthemum in his hand. But, he couldn't care less. Let people look at him questioningly; he did not care. He had performed the same ritual every year for more than a century and he was not about to give it up just because Hitler wanted to have some dinner with his commanders.
Prussia had made all the proper goodbyes, stating that there was a pressing matter that needed his attention before grabbing the key to one o
1947 - Geneva, Switzerland
There was a silence amongst the three nations sitting in the frigid hallway. Germany, Prussia, and Austria didn't dare speak a word to each other for the longest time. Tension crackled amongst the three men. None of them knew what to say, what would be appropriate in their situation. Austria and Prussia remained silent to withhold their blame. Germany remained silent out of fear until the panic and anxiety of not knowing overtook. A rush of words began to pour from his lips.
"Why aren't Italy and Japan here?" The German man asked frantically. He rose and began pacing. The heel of his shoes made a clip that echoed
